Important change in the ATLAS procedure
Reduction of the reference number to 22 characters
As of ATLAS Release 10.1, there will be a significant change in the free circulation procedure:
The permitted length of the reference number (LRN) will be limited to a maximum of 22 characters. This adjustment follows the regulation already in force in the export and NCTS procedure.
It is therefore urgently necessary for companies that use reference numbers with more than 22 characters to adapt their systems accordingly by May 31, 2024. Otherwise, they risk disruptions in communication with ATLAS, as customs applications with longer reference numbers will be automatically rejected from June.
Ready for the latest? With our version 2024.1, available from week 17 / 2024, we are bringing a breath of fresh air to your processes! Customers with version 2023.2 will be actively contacted by us to arrange update dates.
Please take note of this change and adapt your processes in good time to ensure smooth workflows.
Your contact person at CargoSoft will be happy to assist you with the adaptation.
Switching to ZODIAK GE The new DAKOSY customs solution
We would like to inform you that we will be switching to the modern customs solution ZODIAK GE from DAKOSY in the coming months.
What does this mean for you? Are you currently using our ATLAS customs solution, which is based on the tried and tested customs program ZODIAK Classic from DAKOSY? Then this will now be replaced by ZODIAK GE, which will be the only certified customs solution operated by DAKOSY in future. The changeover will take place on an agreed date, on which communication between CargoSoft TMS and the customs program will be switched to ZODIAK GE.
What happens next?
We will proactively contact you to discuss the changeover and set the date together with you. Your changeover will be registered with ATLAS - specifically with IWM Dresden - by us or DAKOSY. You do not need to do anything else until we contact you.
If you record all customs procedures exclusively in CargoSoft TMS, we will set up your ZODIAK GE instance. However, if you also enter customs procedures directly in the ZODIAK application, e.g. inward processing or ASumA, it is necessary to store master data such as authorizations and deferment accounts in ZODIAK GE as well. An automatic transfer of this master data from ZODIAK Classic is not possible for technical reasons. For further information on ZODIAK GE, we cordially invite you to DAKOSY's free webinar series. Register at the following link (https://attendee.gototraining.com/rt/7737959745581539072) for a date of your choice. Individual training sessions can also be arranged if required.
We thank you for your understanding and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Important changes to electronic invoices Mandatory e-invoicing from 2025
The Federal Council in Germany has approved the compromise version of the Growth Opportunities Act (WCG). This marks the start of the gradual introduction of mandatory electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) in Germany - initially in the form of an obligation to receive invoices for invoice recipients in the B2B sector from January 2025. Why is the e-invoice so important for Germany? The introduction of mandatory e-invoicing in Germany is expected to lead to additional tax revenue of well over ten billion euros per year. In future, electronic invoice exchange will also enable direct input tax deduction checks by the tax authorities, which should close the VAT gap caused by input tax deduction fraud. Another plus point: the mandatory e-invoice is likely to provide a considerable boost to the digitization of the affected business processes in German companies. This is how e-invoicing will continue in Germany:From January 1, 2025, the receipt of an e-invoice in accordance with EN16931 will become mandatory for all German B2B transactions. Exceptions apply for invoices under 250 euros and for travel tickets. The priority of paper invoices no longer applies and the recipient's consent to receive EN16931-compliant e-invoices is no longer required. There are transition periods until December 31, 2027 for companies with an annual turnover of less than 800,000 euros and for existing EDI connections with non-compliant e-invoice formats. These changes will not only improve tax integrity, but also drive the digital transformation in German companies. More information on e-invoicing and the new regulations will be available soon!
Cargosoft and WebCargo integration
WebCargo integration into Cargosoft TMS finalized
More efficient booking and management of air freight shipments worldwide
The cooperation between WebCargo and CargoSoft was announced at Air Cargo Europe / Transport Logistics 2023 in Munich. In the first integration stage, the forwarders' static freight rates from WebCargo were already immediately available in CargoSoft TMS. The second level of integration now implemented enables real-time connectivity for real-time ebooking with dozens of leading carriers, instant eBookings, direct carrier confirmations, status integrations and more: rates and bookings in seconds are now available without leaving CargoSoft TMS. In a hybrid world with static and dynamic freight rates, the native WebCargo by Freightos integration from CargoSoft GmbH e-logistic solutions enables forwarders to optimize their airfreight pricing and bookings! If you have any questions about the WebCargo integration, please do not hesitate to contact your CargoSoft contact person. CargoSoft Online WebHelp
